Karnataka Secondary (10th), Janaseva Vidyakendra, Bangalore – 1994,Percentage: 91.23 % (Topper of class)
B. E. Project Title:
Signal Processing and Classification of power system disturbances using Neural Networks
Undertaken at: IISc, Bangalore
Duration: 1 year (Sep. 1999 – July 2000)
Project Description:
This project suggests the possibility of improving digital protection of Power Transformers wherein a Three layered Artificial Neural network was simulated on MATLAB 5.2 to function as a Classifier to distinguish faults, overexcitation and inrush conditions. The simulation waveforms were developed using C language programs. This scheme was used in parallel to a traditional Fourier Algorithm and DSP technique so as to enhance reliability of protection scheme.
